A dog as like any animal will just naturally go when it feels the need to do so, there is no underwear for them to consider. You must watch out for the signs, you want the dog to work for you and to fit around your family unit but you must also do your best to work round your dog and work for him. This is a two way process and is important that a good working relationship built between you and your dog is established.
We need to understand as pet owners that a dog can bring much joy and encouraging the dog to work and to be trained can invite the dog to be highly stimulated. A dog enjoys learning. Potty training dogs is like any other training it takes patience and persistence; you can’t start something and stop just because your dog is not completing this role as quickly as you wish for it to do. Make sure your dog is praised and try at all times not to over train, short training times will keep the dog interested and alert and will help it to be able to learn quickly. Always be kind and patient as it won’t help for you to get frustrated.
